What Happens If I line breed 2 different breeds Together?

Maybe this is a stupid question, but what happens if I continue breeding say a RIR and BR in a line breeding scheme? I'm sure the sex linking will disappear after a while right? I'm interested in taking positive traits, being large size and good egg production, and breeding them in. Basically trying to recreate a productive dual purpose for my own use and don't care what color I end up with.

The sexlinking only works in the original cross. Thereafter, no sexlinking, only more and more cross bred chickens.
