I have 9 ducklings right now, and one of my black silky ducklings just died

and I only had two. I have two white silkie ducklings and I was simply wondering of I would get a grey silky duckif I bred the white and the black when they were older. I know this is probably a silly question, but I have never bred my birds before

I honestly do not know duck genes, but I suspect that they are similar to chicken genes in that it is not like mixing paint. With chickens, white is the absence of pigment; not a diluter of pigment.
