What happens to a hen if an egg breaks inside of her???

One of are hens has yellow yoke leaking from her and I'm not sure if she had an egg breaks inside of her? I gave her a luke warm bath cleaned her up and helped her relax? I also checked to make sure there was no shells inside her but I didn't feel anything? I'm not sure if chickens can get fevers but her head is also VERY WARM like she has a fever. I hope it's not to late?!?!?

They can get infections, and the eggshell can cut them inside. I'm not sure if there's much you can do. Let me look.
