That's odd as I've fed my flock a crapton of scraps from making quarts and quarts of salsa, plus tons of tomato byproduct. I don't use red peppers as a rule, I wonder if that's the key? My yolks are nice and dark usually, but I never noticed a change.when I lived in arizona, I bought eggs fromm a local store owned by mexicans. the owner warned me that the yolks of the eggs this week were bright orange. she gave them leftover salsa sunday and boy did the yolks reflect all the tomatoes and red peppers! the eggs tasted no different
