I purchased some Barbezieux (from GFF line) chicks that hatched June 6th, and I'm ashamed to admit that it was only yesterday that I realized one of the pullets was not like the other ones... Her lobes are red as opposed to white, more yellowing on her feet and overall more "round" body. Depending on her breed she may be spared the chopping block and get moved into the layer flock. TIA!

Did you buy them directly from Greenfire Farms? If so, then it's probably something else they sell.

If you purchased from someone else who bred the chicks, it could be any other breed they have, or a cross between any breeds they have. Maybe a chick jumped from one bin to another, or maybe a rooster got over a fence and mated with a Barbezieux hen.

I checked the GFF site and they don't have anything that fits her looks. Creeped on the FB page of the gent who hatched her and he had black/blue/copper marans with the same DOB. Not sure if he had french line though as she has clean feet.

Thoughts on her having a Marans lineage?

It could be possible there was accidental cross breeding. But those breeds don’t have yellow feet. Does he have any other breeds?

Greenfire Farms website shows them with some yellow on the feet, and shows a photo of one hen that has some red in the earlobes. It also says they're used for meat, and a round body would be good for that.

Maybe the Barbezieuz are just not quite consistent for some of the traits?
