what hatcheries should i get my chicks from

i want to get three chicks but all the hatcheries i pick from i have to get more chicks or its 50 dollers for shipping can some one tell me a good hatcherie thanks to every one

I agree, I ordered from Ideal eailier this year. I will just tell you now, if you are planning at all to show, and you probably already know this, but they are not going to win you anything. I think in hatcheries, especially large ones, just lose everything, when they just let them all breed, so they are not very good quality for breed standard. If you are wanting for just eggs, I'm sure they would probably work fine. They have a $25 minimum for orders. We did our order on the phone, and I'm glad we did, cause it was in Feb. and they said that they must put in extra males for warmth, but you can purchase a eat pack for three dollars.

Are they chickens or chicks? You shouldn't put hicks with older chickens until they are full grown.
