Finished:

200 Years of Forgotten Alabama by Glen Willis

The Traditional Pottery of Alabama by Henry Willet

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (This is one of my favorite books of all time).

How to Tell If Your Cat Is Plotting to Kill You by Matthew Inman (A Comic book really but it was fun to read)

Started:

The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan (Magnus Chase #2)

Continuing:

Great American Short Stories

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (This is one of my favorite books of all time)
You might want to also read Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee.
Believed to have been written before To Kill a Mockingbird,
but deemed unsuitable for publication at the time.
It's basically the same story, but with important differences of perception.

Just finished The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn.
Historical fiction about a female Russian sniper during Hitlers move on Russia.
I enjoyed it!

Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White

I loved that book as a teen, wonder if I would still like it?
I read this last week, I liked it OK but it really find any 'hidden' adult messages or humor.
The illustrations are excellent, and I think that was my favorite part as a kid.

Book haul! I took a box of books I was getting rid of to the used book store I really like and was able to check $15 I store credit. I was also able to find the books I was missing in the shadow series by Orson Scott Card. I’ll start on those once I finish The original Sherlock Holmes series.

There's so much I want to read, but I can't seem to make much progress :(
Any tips for staying focused? It's very difficult for me to read books cover-to-cover.

Have you had your eyes checked recently? Possibly also check how well your eyes work together.

Otherwise, pick really, really, really good books for the next few choices. It helps to alternate easy reads with those that stretch your reading level.

You might try starting with shorter easier books or collections of short stories. Some people find the deadline that having to return a library book provides motivation. You could also try having a set amount of time you try to read a day or a week. Not too long maybe 5 or 10 minutes a day. Some people like me read more than one book at a time. Swapping between them when they start to feel bored with one. Others hate this though and can have trouble keeping plots separate especially if reading fiction. There’s lots of tips and tricks for motivating yourself and making easier to focus but different ones work for different people if one tip doesn’t work set it aside and try a different one.

Try to hold yourself accountable for not finishing a book - I have a habit tracker that I use to make sure I finish one. Also make sure not to start any other books before you finish your current one!
