What have you named your chickens?

Miss Pumpkin Parker, Monkey Mama, Hunny, Cutie Pants, Rootie Kazoo, Cayenne, Paprika, Cinnamon, Lavender, Borage, Trillium, Ginseng, Nettles, Pulmonaria (We're naming them after herbs this year, and Pulmonaria sure beats Lungwort. Sort of.)

Cream Puff (she looked like one as a baby)
Monet
Picasso (I'm an artist, I had to throw in those two names)
Stoli (named after the vodka, stumbled around, fell a lot, laid on her side with a leg sticking out to eat, acting drunk her first week after birth! We kept thinking she was crippled or injured!)
Isis (has eqyptian looking "eyeliner" around her eyes, this is the goddess of magic and fertility that has bird wings. Seemed fitting.)
Buttercup ( a pale yellow. I since discovered buttercups are toxic to chickens. Irony.)

Most of my pullets don't have names because they look so much alike, especially the Black Stars and cuckoo Marans. The EEs do look different, but some of the differences are so slight that it's hard to tell. We did name our darkest, plainest EE pullet Kitty, and we have a BS that we call Floppy b/c her comb almost covers her eyes. Other than that, the other girls don't have names. Our cockerels names are Casper (aka Satan's Minion, aka The Feathered Demon, aka Dumba**, aka You Piece Of Crap Stop Skittering Up Behind Me Trying To Flog Me)- silver Lakenvelder; and our four EEs- Hannibal (head cockerel), El Jefe, Severus Snape, and Professor Lupin.

They all respond to "Chick chick chick chick!" or "Bock-bocks!"

I've ordered 6 Buff Orps, and may be getting more. However, foreseeing my future with them, I'll be naming them this.

1. Wii (cause now after paying for a coop, I can kiss my Nintendo Wii wish away)
2. Dates (cause I can already see this addiction to chickens somehow creeping into my date life with the hubby as if having 2 special needs kids didn't do that enough)
3. Cruiser (cause who is going to take care of them if I ever did go on a cruise?)
4. Disney (same reason as cruiser, who is going to take care of them if we did go to Disney?)
5. Eggsy (by God, I'm giving up enough I'd better get a little something for it)
6. Dumpling (the ultimate fate of my fowl, served up in a bowl of chicken -n- dumplings)

Other potential names include Pastry and Stew.

My 3 and 5 year old names them....

1 Easter egger-Betsy
1 olive egger- Frita
1 wheaten marans -Millie
1 partridge pendensia- Georgina
1 silver Wyandotte-Henretta
1 silkie-snow white
1 Cochin- gatech or buzz

All my hens are "Hennie" except for a chosen few who are "$#@%$ chicken!" for obvious reasons. I do have an EE named Bluto because she reminds me of the bearded guy on Popeye, poor ugly little bugger

All my duck hens are Pennie except my old Magpie, her name is Gus. My husband named her

I just have too many to name!!

We have five chicks and have named three so far: Patty, Big Martha (she's huge), and Pippy (short for pip-squeek because she peeped all the way home from the feed store).

One of my 5 orp babies got a name today. It tried to run over and snatch something from the mouth of a "not mama" and got a peck. So now we have:

Smarty Pants

all EEs ("Americana" from Privett via the feed store), supposed to be all pullets

Becky
Christina
Dusk
Anitra
Dierdre
Ginger
and
Phoebette

Becky pecks everyone, Christina has extensive eyeliner, Dusk is turning out to be blue or silver w/ black (all the others have gold or rust heads, with "partridge" coloring), Anitra does this funny dance, Dierdre has black markings vertically under her eyes, Ginger has a rusty color head, and Phoebette looks like an outdoor wild bird
