Someone keeps posting the wonderful pictures of bantam rose comb brown leghorns. Now, I wasn't planning on getting those......

if you build off an old coop it isnt a new coop right?

I couldn't figure out how to do that.

I finally ended up building a 'stealth coop' for my bantams.

And I DID get more than I first posted that I was gonna get.

lol maybe she will warm up to the idea more later lol, my hubby said absolutely no chicks until next spring but he's driving me tomorrow to look at some chicks and I dont see us coming home empty handed unless something looks off with the chickens and environment or something, do you think two/three ten week old chicks would be to few to stay warm and happy enough till spring chicks arrive?

sheesh! you live someplace WARM!!!! I am sure that chicks any time of year would be manageable.

LOL there is that, though I thought some breeds as chicks were less hardy or what have you? what practical chicken experience I have is with adults, and once when I was a kid helping my uncle sneak some chicks in on a broody hen
