What I do

I have a dog crate I can use. I have 7 roosters and 11 hens. Since 2 of my roosters attacked my son for no reason my husband is going to be butchering all of them

I'm sorry to hear that your son was attacked. Yes, separate the hens in a dog crate - watch them to make sure they don't pick at each other's wounds - sometimes that can happen as well.

That's a lot of roosters:) Separating them all from the rest of the hens would be a very good idea until you can get them butchered.

I hope you are able to treat both your hen's wounds and they recover nicely for you, keep us posted.

I will do it today and thank you for the advice and I will let you know how they are doing

Yes, I raised a flock with a large group of roosters and the roosters kept the hens so stressed they stopped laying. Please let us know how it is going and if we all can help with more ideas. I try to keep a chicken first aid box ready to go to treat different problems and injuries. Good Luck with your girls.
