We've all (BYC Staff and the community) worked really hard to find a great balance on BYC, between being the best place anywhere in the world (online or offline) to get chicken information, but also to be a wonderful social place for people to come together, have fun and support one another.
I always remark to my friends & co-workers about how we have such a diverse community here and how amazing it is that everyone gets along so well. We have members who literally baby their chickens (see chicken diapers) and others who cull chickens frequently and only raise chickens for food. It's amazing to me that (most) everyone is able to get along so well, especially when you consider we've got 15,000 VERY different members from every age, part of the world, background, and from every walk of life.
