I just read in another forum that if a chicken has diarrhea that was an issue...what type of issue? Does this mean they are sick or something?

It is not always a problem if it is just a few or if it's their cecal poo. Often a bit too much fruit, lots of water consumption can lead to diarhea types poo. Now if all poos are yucky, for more than a day, and if it is yellow and bubbly, then suspect worms or other things. A few slimy poos or watery ones aren't generally a problem.
