I didn't do so well documenting the chick's feathering, but at 6 weeks she appears to be all white, with no hint of grey or silver.

At 12 days, you can see the new pin feathers where the wing meets the back are coming in pure white.

Here she is at 6 weeks. She looks good so far. I plan to show her at the state show in October.

So, a pullet I wonder if markings would have been different if it had been a cockerel. I hope you revisit someday in the future after the first moult, I've had some that have changed feather color after that.

She has a full brother from the same hatch and he did not have the grey cape, but he did have a very slight grey hue to him overall.

Opal hens tend to be all white. I think your birds may be a recessive white/Opal
