Thanks so much everyone for all your feedback!! I can't quite tell for sure yet, so I guess I will wait and see if Ping is a male or female. The two are definitely different personalities, as well as size. Ping is a brute! Wow, what a difference in just picking the two up! They both do quack but Yangtze (smaller one) is definitely the loud, obnoxious quacking one. Ping just joins in occasionally and is more quiet. I love them sooo much so I hope Ping is a female so I can keep her. I'll try to keep you posted as they grow. Yangtze is 7 weeks and Ping is just 6 weeks.

I have 10 Pekins, 3 drake, 7 duck. On of my drakes is huge and one of my ducks is smaller then the others. Just genetics I guess.

So upset! My rescue duck died today ;(

Went to check on the ducks down at the pond and she had her beak tucked up under her wing asleep... Walked up to her and didn't move she kept floating around so I grabbed her and she was dead! No bite marks, missing feathers, no clogged throat, etc.

Ok everyone - here's some updated pics - see how different they look? Weird... they are both quacking but the big one is a little deeper and doesn't quack quite as much; the smaller one likes to quack a lot more and loudly. I will try to upload a video soon to see if that would help. It's just very strange that I would order the same exact duck and get such 2 different looking ducks, each from a different hatchery.

So sorry to hear about your duck. Maybe she died so peacefully in her sleep in her favorite place to be...

The largest one looks just like my jumbo pekin.The smaller one looks like a friend of mine.( Ha Ha i need sleep) like her pekin ducks did.
