Dose anyone have any ideas what breed these little guys might be?

Here is the story: I bought them last fall as “Silkie Chicks”. Now that they are 8 months old, I know they are not silkie’s. They look like silkies <sorta>, they have the same type of feathering, 5 toes, feathering on their legs, but they are at least twice the size of my two silkie hens. They are great little guys, very friendly with people; like to be held and such, but they do not like each other.

I believe I saw a standard breed once that looked like a silkie, but for the life of me, I cant remember where or what it was?

I really dont have the need or the room for them, and I am going to try to rehome them, but was hoping to figure out what they were, so I could find them a proper new home.

Thanks

Those look like they could have been bred with something else at one point, but they have some silkie heritage too. There are LF silkies, but as far as I know they are not available in the US.

Bennie is like them, looks like a silkie but is too big, much smaller then my LF hens but too big for a silkie roo...

I wonder if they are all from the same cross- Bennie also has hard tail feathers ans wing feathers making him really PQ.

Thanks, I am hoping to figure it out soon because they are not having much of a life right now. I really dont have a breeding pen to put them in, and if they are together they fight like game chickens; hormones, they stayed inside all winter together w/o a problems. Now they are out and around some hens, it is game on! But, except for the times I am out to let them free graze (one at a time); they are pretty much stuck in these hutches.

If anyone around me wants them, let me know!

I know, I cant figure it out either, and usually I am pretty good at this! I could have swore I saw one time on a hatchery site I saw a rare std breed that looked similar to a silkie, but I cant remember where or when. I have spent a few hours cruising the sites with no luck.

I could have been dreaming, but if I wasn’t someone on here will know, I am sure of it. But for now, I am thinking they are probably just silkie mutts?

I was told mine was pure silkie (here) just very poorly bred - if these are all really poor silkies, but large then makbe someone could start using them to fix the type and get bigger birds-

How much do yours weigh?

Do they have standard silkie temperment?

How are the spurs (my boys spurs are pitiful)

If it would help I could get more picts of Bennie when he's not freeranging -
