What in the world is a water wriggler?

And why do you put the probe inside it? I have a homemade incubator, and have had fairly good hatches of between 50-75% in the past. However, I'm always trying to improve on my design. Miss Prissy's homemade bator mentions this water wriggler thing that you put the outside temp probe into, and you're supposed to monitor that temp, not the air temp??

They are sometimes called watersnakes..
Its basically a tube within a tube that has water in it..Its a kids toy that will slip thru your hand as the inside becomes the outside..
It is used to measure what the temp should be -inside- the eggs..

So I would find them in the toy section? Do they have them at like Wal-mart? What should the temp in the water wriggler be? Does it matter if the incubator is still air or circulated? I have a still air one.

Oh gosh...finding them is the kicker!

I finally found one in Dollar General here. No one else had them!
Good Luck!
