Is this BO a rooster or a hen? 22 weeks....
We have not seen it trying to mate with any of them. No crowing, sort of. She acts like a hen but her comb and waddle are the biggest of the flock. If a hen does sneak up on her/him she puffs up, but so do the other hens. No one is afraid of this chicken....

I think a hen because you would of heard crowing but some roosters crow later and this hen could be fast growing hen and the puff thing is normal for every chicken. I think you have a HENNY PENNY but just wait for the egg or crow

Yes it is a hen. Buff Orpingtons have pretty large combs/wattles.

That comb is huge!! I can see why you thought it might not be a hen. However, I don't see any rooster hackle feathers and you haven't heard her crow so she's a hen.

At 22 weeks that is a lovely pullet and you should be seeing eggs any day.
