What incubator should I use?

I agree it's brand name.
But as I say the only reason I have Brinsea is because,
There's only 2 good brand incubators in Ireland.
I also got it for a good price including the auto turning cradle.

I see it does.
I suppose the reason brinsea is so much more expensive,
Is the well known name?
Maybe also they cost more to make?
But on first looks the incuview looks good.
The only incubators I have heard of are
'Brinsea' and 'Rcom' as they are used here in Ireland.

Actually I have a theory on why the Brinseas spiked in price. These new ones have a silver,-based antibacterial agent as part of the plastic itself. It is actually part of the plastic, not a. Add-on. When I first read of it I was worried it might MicroBan. But further research showed the antibacterial is not that but is silver based and not toxic. I suspect that addition to the plastic didn't come cheap. Added to that the hype of being the next big thing. I think 200+ for a 7 egg incubator is rediculous.
So I keep searching the new Asian bators and hope I find a mini that is acceptable.
Best,
Karen

Both interesting sides, I think that the first one sounds better (plus it's cheaper..) I don't have a lot of money but I do have enough for that! Thank you both!!

Hi given grove,
I have by reading incubator reviews for two days now. Whew!! Lots of opinions. Lot of good ones on the Incuview. It is at the top of my list as of now.
I bought my Brinsea Mini Advances years ago at discounted prices of 112.50 and regular price of 149.99,respectively . Frankly I. Won't pay more than 150.00 for one. I just think that is what they are worth.
On the other hand, if one has a local custom incubation service, ... ones local to me charge 50cents to incubate and 50 cents per hatched chick. I can have a lot of chicks hatched each year for less than the cost of a 7egg bator. Something to dwell on.
Best,
Karen

I am interested in this Magicfly Mini incubator. Holds 9-12 eggs. I read about problems with keeping temperature. Until I read about owners setting the bator down in the styrofoam bottom packing it came in. Throw the top packing away and just set the bator in the bottom piece
Then no problems with temps.
Apparently there is a hole for something in the bottom half of the bator. When setting the bator in the styrofoam bottom, make sure there is a tunnel so that the hole is not blocked.
Best,
Karen

I'm ordering some turkey eggs AND some chicken eggs (bantam) so I will be having both tiny eggs and large eggs, is there a GOOD incubator I could use to incubate both of these types of eggs? I am looking for a quality incubator, the one I have now is terrible and only fits medium sized eggs, it can't even keep humidity straight (it's a horrible incubator)
PLEASE help!

EDIT: I meant to also mention that my turkey eggs are coming soon and I need answers stat! I forgot that the incubator couldn't fit large eggs..
idk but we are using little giant (9300) and it seems to be working so far
