What Incubator?

If I were to get an incubator, which one is the best for the best price?

Well first off, how many eggs would you want to hatch at a time? How much are you willing to pay? Do you want an incubator that is digital, or one you have to hand turn couple times a day? Do you want to constantly be checking it to make sure the temp and humidity is constant?

ETA: I'm looking into a "sportsman" because I've been using my neighbors styrofoam incubator and it sucks! The temp is always up and down around the 99.5 and stresses me out. The sportsman is 700 compared to the hovabator being 200 with the turner and air circulator. But it all depends on what you need or want.

For the 150.00 price range I love my Brower top hatch-you do have to make sure it is in a inside room with controlled temps though. I hatch call duck eggs often and the turner on this rolls the eggs back and fourth like you have to with duck eggs, I have had really good hatches all year with mine and my eggs are shipped to me. Some people dont like theirs but I do-I love that after hatching its easy to wash everything up unlike the stryobators-you can even put it in the dishwasher if you have one. It has a built in fan, and autoturner included so you dont have to buy a bunch of extras and keep adding on

Brinsea. Brinsea. Brinsea. Mini Advance or Mini ECO. The former holds 7 eggs and has an automatic turner, and the latter holds 10 eggs but no egg turner. I have one Mini Advance and I splurged and got two Mini Advance EZ incubators because I'm ... well... insane.

But NOT sorry in the least!

These are practically fool proof incubators. EGGSCELLENT for newbies (like me).

I have a Brinsea Octogon 20 Advance Ex and a Genesis Hovabator 1588. I like both, but I like the Brinsea more.

Right now I am using a friends Brower Top Hatch and I can not recommend it at all.
The constant blinking light and the noise is just too stressfull for me.
We had to adjust the temp at least twice a day. The clear cover is not all that clear and when lifting the lid to add water and check on things it can and WILL fall inside and destroy eggs. This happened twice and I lost 3 eggs. The cover really needs to have a hinge of some sort to prevent this.
I just bought the remains of a 600 egg cabinet incubator at a yard sale. I will probably work as it is but I am going to rebuild the cabinet and reuse the drawers and electrics.

Brinsea Octogon 20 is a good incubator. The unit its self was $100, plus the turner for around $50. Most important part of it is GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. We had a part break (our fault) and they replaced it free of charge plus gave us an extra one just in case.
