What is a DH???

I am new to this site and I noticed a lot of women refer to their spouse as DH. What does that mean? Hopefully not what I think it means!

Not sure what you were thinking. . . . DH = Dear Husband!

Also DS (Dear Son), DD (Dear Daughter)
etc. etc.

DW is the one that kinda makes me laugh, because the PBS animated kids' show, Arthur, has a character named "DW", it's Arthur's sister!

I live alone. Well, without any other human beings, that is. If I used DD it would be one of the Dear Dogs, so I'd need DD1 and DD2 and folks would really wonder what I was doing with my kids.... And DC1 and DC1 for the cats... but then folks might think that was for the chickens and I have a lot of those, so maybe DF for feline... because I could use DC1 through DC55 for chickens.

Would anybody know if I mentioned DN it meant Dear Nobody? Because there is nobody else of the human persuasion here? That would be my own conscious, perhaps?
