do you all think i need to add more nest boxes for 15 chickens?

That's a great coop! I'm jealous

I think the # of nest boxes you have is just fine. The ideal is 1 nest box for every 10 hens. (i think)

Usually they all lay in just one or two anyway.

What's your roost look like?

The roost is usually a flat piece of wood that the chickens stand on for the night.

It's placed as high up as is practical in the coop.

Most people use a 2 x 4, flat side up so their feet are toasty under the feathers in winter.

I think orpingtons are great starter birds...It's what i was told to get and I loved mine until they were all recently killed by the neighbors dog

Good luck!

well i am going to have to build that soon i only have 4 chickens right now i jut got them a couple of days ago got them for free! 3 roosters an one hen

3 roosters an one hen

You may want to get a lot more hens for three roosters. That poor hen will be wore out

Or get rid of two of the roos. The normal per rooster is 10 hens to one roo. That's cool that you got them free!
