What is a good price for a cord of wood?

We use hardwood slab wood at 25.00 a bundle

( a bundle = 2 cords) hubby must cut it into pieces to fit in our furnice which is a wood burner / fuel oil ( not seen any fuel oil in 4 yrs now to expensive when we bought this house it was 80 cents a gallion and that was in 1999!!!!!) Usually we burn about 15 cords a winter and we have a wonderful lil room in our basement that opens to the wood cutting area outside sooooo the wood is inside all winter and we may have to go out once to fill the room again. We will also have some tree this yr that need to be taken down so that will add to our wood this yr and we have also bought 80 acres not to far from here that is old hardwood grouth that we will thin this yr too.

PS- we are paying $180 a cord (getting 2) of mixed green, and then we will pick up $200 each cord (getting 2) of 2 year old seasoned hard wood. We are also cutting our own and picked up a construction site for kindling. It has spikes in the wood, but those are big enough to hear ping when your spreading ashes!

Here in central Vermont, a cord of hardwood (usually mostly maple) is around $200.00, cut, split and delivered (but not stacked).
