What is a Guinea treat.

Ours seems to love those round light brown seeds in the cheap bag of wild bird food. It's the biggest percentage in the bag and in my experience is never actually eaten by a wild bird but is very well liked by the guinea. So it works out well for the nieghbor when he dumps a scoop over the fence for him, Bob eats all the brown seeds and the little birds come through and eat everything alse.

The only thing I have found they show any special interest in is old hay with lots of broom sage heads. I tried scratch and even my chickens ignored it. They finally cleaned up the corn after a couple of days. They did seem to enjoy their feed after a blowing rain soaked the feeder.

I have had Guinea fowl for three years - the best and favorite treat is White Millet - no other color or kind - just white - they LOVE it - all of them - in fact my new production red chicks go nuts over it also. My Guinea's will come from across the street or from out of the field if I yell 'treat treat treat' because I then give them a little bit of white millet (just sprinkled on the ground).
