What is a "house chicken?"

about the chickens looking at people on the sidewalk.

when can we meet?

people are trying to tell me it is a health hazzard and against codes to keep chickens in the house. Is that true?

I don't think keeping chickens in the house breaks any more rules or is any nastier than keeping ferrets. I work in a pet store and let me tell you. They are gross...

Very cute, but I'm allergic to them. And did I mention they are gross...lol

I have often thought about diapering a bantam hen in the house. But I would feel so bad watching her lay her little egg in a diaper of poo and then running around cackling about it with it in her diaper.

Maybe that's just me though...

Much is in a name.

I'm thinking that what is needed is a change of label here.
For example, if we call droppings, 'chicken SH*T', wow that is nasty. But, if we call it 'Poooo,' well hey, that aint so bad. It almost sounds nice.

SO instead of 'chicken diaper', how about something like:

AFECU - Auxiliary Feces Entrapment and Containment Unit.
FCP - Feces Catch Pocket.

Or we could call it a "PooBag" or a "Dropping Satchel" or something like that.

What're some more ideas?

This is too much. I should have jumped into the fray earlier.

There are house ducks with diapers too. If you think changing a chicken would be bad can you imagine changing a duck's diaper? It's gotta be worse than a human baby.

I like AFECU. It sounds more like something for catching feces.

er..

More commonly known as "It's your turn, I changed it last time."

I like AFECU, what great marketing.
