what is a reasonable price for boss?

I paid about $24-$25 for a 50# bag around thanksgiving time. A new BJ's super warehouse store just opened & they have 40# bags for 19! I'll be buying it there from now on.

I just bought 20# at Meijer's (a big grocery and "one stop" store) for $11.69 yesterday. Got 3 free suet cakes with the purchase (had a coupon).

I think I've got you all beat! I pay $4 for a 25# bag of BOSS at a local grocery store, Kroger's. I also pay $1 for 2#'s of suet, also at the same grocery store.

If I went to my local feed store, I would end up paying $5 for 2#'s of BOSS, so Kroger's is cheaper for me.

6 dollars a 50 lb bag.
I know of a dealer going out of business and I am going to pick up 500 lbs.

In my neck of the woods it is $13 to $16 can be had at the grocery store... Big pallets infront of most stores and many gas stations..

(I think in cold climates were feeding wild birds is popular has a lot to do with the price... Higher demand=lower price

I couldn't turn it down. I may go for 1000 lbs. I use a lot of BOSS on the Chickens, Ducks, Turkeys, Milking Goats, and Dairy Beef Calves.
I am going to also see what the Wheat and Oats are going for..

I paid $29.98 for a 50# bag of hulled BOSS at our local elevator. My chickens like them better than the shell-on type and I like the protein boost when I have girls molting this time of year. There is a difference in price. 50# of shell-on are regularly $14.99 at Farm & Fleet.
