What is "arms length" for a coon?

I have OSB on three sides of one end of my covered run. There is a roost attached to the wall at the edge of this section. There are pics on my BYC page. I want to add a piece of hardware cloth so a coon can't reach through and grab a bird but I don't know how far a coon can reach! Do yall think two feet would be enough?
 
2 feet would be more than enough, good safe number. A large coon has a reach of about 12", maybe 15". The reach is the lenght of the coon's front leg.
 
I already have some hardware cloth in 2' width, If I cut a 3' length and center it, you think that would be far enough? That would be 4' of OSB on one side, 2' of hardware cloth on the other side, 18" above and below the roost board...
