What is best to use for coturnix quail dust bath? Sand, Dirt.......?

If you buy sand read over the package. A couple months back (on Reddit) I read where someone bought some sand and found out it had concrete powder in it as well.

Sand, dirt, ash etc are all cheap. Why not offer a selection and see which your birds prefer? Mine seem to prefer good ole backyard dirt.

My recipe is 1 half dirt and the other half a mixture of sand, ash and some diatomaceous earth. They love it.
