What is chewing up my coop? Now with pics--pg 2

I'm going to guess chipmonks. My brother in Michigan was plauged with those things so bad... Every winter they would chew their way into the hunting cabin and make a mess in the attic. They are great wood chewers.

Ok, sorry for such a long delay in getting pics up. Here's a pic of what damage we think is being done by a squirrel:

That's the bottom of the coop wall. There are marks like that all over the bottom of the structure. My dad thinks it's possum, what do y'all think?

I'm thinking it's a variant of the non-native snaggle toothed platypus.
 
Whatever it is..it wants to eat your birds pretty badly! Yikes!
 
Maybe if you cover it in something that taste bad? Like that stuff you put on kid's finger nails when you don't want them to chew on them?
