Easter weekend my granddaughter wanted a chick for a pet. I discouraged her since she has no place to keep a chick , and I knew would loose interest; Grandpa lost the battle and "Cutie" was purchased a the flea market by DAD. I offered to keep Cutie (hoping she would be a hen) to save her from certain demise.
One month later, she has won my heart. I open the cage door she flies to my shoulder to ride anywhere I go; when she gets tired I bend down in front off her cage, flies in and settles down to watch everything I do.
I thought she was probably a Dominick or barred rock, but now that she is feathering I see not. Any guesses? Her feet are flesh and black colored and her legs are black; you can see her face pretty well in this photo
