What is everyone feeding their new chicks

Soon to have some new chicks here, and trying to get an idea on what others are feeding their new chicks...
Medicated versus non-medicated feed ? Crumbles versus non-crumbles...?

I was feeding Nurtrina nature wise stuff but my feed store quit carrying it because it was too expensive and went with another nutrena brand. I found the adult layer feed had animal products in it, whereas the other did not. I decided I wouldnt buy from them anymore and switched over to Tractor supply. I am using Dumor feed. Just looked, opps..got turkey, quail starter instead of chick! oh well they bags half gone and they are doing fine lol. This is non medicated, 4% more protein apparently. I guess I was so concerned about medications and animal products that I didnt quite pay close attention to the label. It said chick starter on the feed tag and had a pic of a chick on the front lol. False advertising!!

Blue Seal Medicated chick starter crumbles.....they wasted too much with the mash.

Bag says to keep them on this chick starter for 8 weeks. Is that ALL you feed them or can they eat other stuff without having to give them grit?
