All day today my rooster has been opening his mouth like there was something stuck in his throat does any one know why he's doing this?

(if you don't see the video it's because I'm going to delete it after I get some answers

Have you looked in his mouth, or rather down his throat? Could be a long peice of grass.

Mine do that once in a while..and I PANIC and get all worried..but then they stop. I just keep an eye on the one doing it just to make sure it stops. Thank God ..it always stopped.

He's probably just rearranging his crop to get stuff down better. Cage birds do this too. I was all worried because my cockatiel was "yawning" a lot and that's all it was. Nothing to worry about.

I've heard of gape worms but I think they 'gape' more than your roo does when they have those. I know someone that knows more about gape worms will correct me if I'm wrong
