What is he?

He was hatched April 1st 2012. I bought him along with 9 other baby chicks at Rural King. He was suppose to be a New Hampshire Red pullet. I felt sorry for him because all the others had picked his tail fluff off and he was a mess and I just wanted to get him out of there. The girls all grew up so friendly and spoiled but he is the biggest coward a true "chicken". I have never seen another like him and think he is some kinda cross or mutt.

It crows like a rooster and never lays an egg.
Are you sure its a hen.

Or a hormone imbalanced hen...

He is for sure an odd ball.

Possibly he looks henny because he is absent some tail feathers. The picture is too small to tell do you have any more?

His neck does appear to be glossy and shiny like hackle feathers so I am leaning more towards rooster ( but not certain),
