What is this? A blood clot? How does this happen? I sell my eggs and I don’t think my customers are gonna be happy? What can I do to prevent this from happening?

Blood spot as others have noted, and it's not unusual. You can explain to your customers that because these are home raised eggs they're not candled like store bought eggs so there may be inclusions such as blood and meat spots. They're 100% safe to eat but if they don't like the spots they can be picked out before or after cooking. Advise them to crack eggs one at a time into cups to check for such inclusions if it bothers them to have them in their meal.

This is what I do. I have enough regular customers now that I know who "gets it" about farm eggs vs those who are pickier. I do candle my eggs for the pickier people. And I tell them to let me know about any egg quality issues.
