what is it with chickens and styrofoam???

It seems that my chooks can find the smallest piece of styrofoam anywhere! They fight over it, then swollow it as fast as they can. Fortunatly I have managed to get all but a few tiny pieces. But what attracks them?

I just chased my 4 girls around trying to get the few pieces they found the porch, wow they can be fast LOL.

I noticed the same thing....funny huh...

I dont know where the styrofoam came from....but it was torn to shreads and all over the back fence area.

dont know either. Everytime i take the ducks out they run around the yard searching for plastic wrappers and other assorted yumyums. The only time they consider dandelion is when i hold it in bite size pieces right in front of their bill.
