What is it?

There is a possum that lives (I think) under the next door neighbor's house. I was sitting on my porch last night, heard some loud rustling and sure enough, out comes Mr. Possum. I yelled at him, but he really doesn't do any harm (so far).

don't look like a fisher to me.

but i don't have possums where i live. so i can not say that is 100% sure a possum (but as everyone else is saying possum am going to say it most likely is)

but i think a possum is less of an issue then a fisher.

Opossums are found in North, Central, and South America. The Virginia opossum lives in regions as far north as Canada and as far south as Central America.

I'll add my voice to the rest and say opossum. Opportunists, they are. Trash raiders. Had one in the hen house one day but it was stealing eggs, not bothering the birds. Darn things don't herd worth a hoot.
