So I decided I wanted chickens on a whim during TSC 'chick days' I purchased 5 pullets and my heart went out to what I think is a bantam who was being stomped nearly to death. Any ideas on what it is? Roo? Breed?

Is it bad to have it with the other non-bantam chicks? If separated I feel there will be insuffient heat for survival?

Hi from Kentucky!

When I hatch bantams and large fowl chicks, I put them together in the brooder. Everyone seems to get along just fine.

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan

When your chicks are several weeks old you can post pictures in the What Breed or Sex section of the forum- you will need clear pictures of the chicks and especially their combs.
