What is more important-A good hatcher or a good incubator?

I have a Hovabator genesis as my main bator and then a hovabator 1602 still air as a hatcher. The still air takes a bit more "tweaking" but once at temp, it holds beautifully. I've also bought an LG with autoturner that I plan on putting a fan in. I'll use that one for overflow (as in when I order too many eggs and can't sqeeze them all in!

Bottom line, the still air (LG or Hovabator) would probably be fine as a hatcher. If you can get it locally, you'll have plenty of time to tweak it and get the temp/humity steady.

Good luck and keep us posted!

These two things are the very reasons you'll want to get a hatcher. The high humidty can kill the other babies that aren't ready to hatch yet and opening the top to hand-turn the "younger" eggs will remove valuable humidity from those about to hatch.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
