What is my chick doing?

Today we put our chicks in a little space outside and while sitting and watching them we noticed one looking like it was trying to “crow” but not making a noise. I am posting a screen shot of the video of it doing it. Google tells me it has gapeworms...but if it only did it about 4 times and we haven’t noticed in in the several hours after is it ok? Do they do that for other reason?

Sometimes they do that. Sometimes it means something is stuck. Sometimes it means they may be trying to crow. Are you providing grit on some sort? If it's not continuing I wouldnt worry.

Sometimes they do that. Sometimes it means something is stuck. Sometimes it means they may be trying to crow. Are you providing grit on some sort? If it's not continuing I wouldnt worry.

I haven’t given them any grit yet...I’ll have to start doing that!

I was hoping it was something like this. I know they were very hyper when I let them out but then google got the best of me. Haha!

Been there! They keep us on our toes. This is my first flock and there is a lot of information on here! Lol.

Yes, definitely. Especially since you are letting them outside. They could be eating bugs and without grit they are unable to break it down.
