thanks guys! now i know for certain. sad thing is that HER LEG IS BROKEN

i told my mom over and over that my 4 year old nephew isn't allowed in the "chicken room" by himself and he dropped her!

should i splint it? she's not bearing weight on it and all she wants to do is sleep. she has food & water near her where she can reach it, but she looks like she is on so much pain. should i splint it? i really want this one to live!

Personally I would try the splint. It couldn't hurt to try it. I don't have any experience with this to really help you, all I know is what I would do.

she's doing a bit better. i let her oustide today with the other chicks for about 10 minutes but they all got too hot

figures, ey? i let the week old chicks out of the brooder and into the yard. and then they complain because it's too hot out.

she's hobbling around a bit and doesn't seem to be in as much pain. poor baby has a really swollen joint

i showed her to the local expert and she said it was a bad sprain. she can't bare weight on it. she's standing though and doesn't look so sad and miserable. should i separate her and give her the smaller breeds as company? the fayoumis are smaller than her and not as rowdy as the others.
