What is my rooster???

I don't really check this particular forum much (I don't have much to contribute, lol!), so I don't know if I'm the first ever to ask this about a full grown chicken, but I've realized that he may not be what I was told he is. It's not a big deal, I mostly just don't want to sound stupid when I am describing my own chickens, lol!

Anyway, I was told he is a Wyandotte. But they don't have the large single comb, right? Not to mention that the coloring is kind of wonky. So he's probably a cross, huh.

This picture is from late last summer, but he's pretty much full grown.

Thanks... it doesn't really matter, as I said, I just don't want to be prattling about my chickens and wrongly label him to someone who knows what they're talking about! He's a great rooster, though!

Just tell folks he's a barnyard mix. As long as he's nice to you and good to your hens,for most of us that's all that matters.
