What is odd looking thing?

Anyone know whats happening? I am so curious about that.. Well I got 4 hens for free from nice owner and clean... They said they are 2 years old hens not laying anymore... Ohh?? I think its something with the feed it messed up and stopped their laying life! ha?? Hope to hear from you guys.. Thank you!

do a google search for 'egg lash'....it's a mass of tissue from the reproductive tract, often but not always indicates the end of a hen's reproductive life but is nothing to be concerned about healthwise.

Aw another one!! That chicken on top pic left side. Healthy chicken obviously laid that thing... Ok, I smelled it and its egg! Ok, its called egg lash? I bought the chickens few days ago.. Just wondering how that caused? Will they be able to recover to able lay normal egg again or its done? They re only about two yrs old..

Well, it doesnt smell like an egg if its called egg lash.. It smelled like chicken meat... Someone said its cancerous tissue( cysts) so I believe it is.. Anyone disagree??

It is not egg and it's not actually called 'egg lash' either, just a 'lash' but if you googled 'lash' you'd come up with everything from knot tieing to S&M!!!

A lash is made from parts of the reproductive tract so is, technically, 'meat' but it is not cancerous so is nothing to worry about. I have had girls lay a lash then go on to continue laying normal eggs and also some that have never layed another egg afterwards but never have I had one be ill after a lash so it isn't a poor health issue.
