Hi,
In one of my chickens, I have noticed some black spots starting to come up on her comb. I was wondering if this is pox. I think it is and if it is, can it transfer to humans or other chickens. I don't know if I should move her to a different coop if it can go to my other chickens. Also is there any cure for it?
Thanks for the help!!!

I couldn't take a picture of my chicken because she was afraid of my camera, but I found an image online of what it looks like. Except on my chicken the black dots are smaller and there is no dots around the throat or mouth

Kind of looks like scabs. Have the other girls been picking on her? Mine often have these from pecking each other away from treats/food.

You are probably right! I just introduced 6 new chicks to the flock. From what I noticed the chicken with scabs seemed to be the head of them all and I didn't really keep an eye on her because of her dominance.

Especially with a new introduction, it's common to have fighting! May want to search dry fowl pox like stated in above post just in case, but seems like they're just sorting out the pecking order.
