What is Peanut!?

Hello everyone

I've had Peanut for a looonnng time now,at least it seems long!
He's about 4 months old,and hasn't started crowing.
Now I thought he was some kind of mixed breed,but here's what confuses me:
I was in Tractor Supply one day and saw a Raising Chickens book with a bunch of Peanuts all over it!

So now I'm thinking he must be a pure bred.
But what in the world is he?
And if he's a mix,then what is he!?
I don't think he's a Wyandotte,I've been really observing him and comparing.
Some help would be greatly appreciated!

4 months old? Since there is not much comb or wattle to speak of there, it is a pullet. And the breed is Silver Laced Wyandotte.

Looks like a SLW hen. How are you so sure it's a cockerel? It doesn't have any of the coloring, saddle/hackle feathers or comb. Looks quite like my columbian wyandotte girl, actually (she's got crap for that coloring).

Hatchery quality silver laced wyandotte. Is it crowing? How do you know it's a roo?

At 4 months, Peanut is a Silver Laced Wyandotte pullet.
