What is she doing????? Goose Question

My female has had 8 eggs for 3 weeks and started actively sitting 2 weeks ago(I thought) now I got to peek 2 days ago and she has 2 more eggs in the nest. I thought she was 1/2 way through, is she really setting or does she know something about the first eggs that I don't. Any input would be a big help !!

Hmmmm, sorry I don't know the answer, but maybe someone else will see this and chime in.

It sounds like she's still adding to her nest. Or could other geese be laying eggs in her nest?

They will lay for quite a while, then they will sit FOREVER on that nest! My girl will lay up to 25 eggs! Sometimes she will sit for a week and I think she is broody then next thing you know, she is out and about again! Finally she will sit and not get off for at least 35 days. I usually take her eggs away by then because she has no hubby!

I would try candling! It is worth a try and I can usually see pretty well in there! My goose had a mate for almost 2 years, but never had any babies before he passed!
