WHAT is she doing?!

I set 5 eggs under my broody on the 29th of Oct., 3 NHR and 2 from my own flock. 2 nights ago one of the eggs pipped, and hasn't made a move to zip since. She's still peeping, but she's not freaking moving! Does it usually take this long for a pipped chick to hatch?

From what I know (which isn't much) they can take as much as 24 hours to hatch. I would wait, and see.

From my experience you will probably be able to hear pips for up to 3 days before the hatch, one of mine did that it drove me crazy you just have to stay patient for a while.
