Orange Tabby...He Stays and His Name is Finn (Update with Videos Dec 31)

Finn is still with us. Today, I gave him food he asked for, but he walked away without taking a bite, sticking out his tongue. I saw something black on it and while my husband held him (more like wrestled him!), I pried open his mouth. There was a beetle attached to his tongue! I think it as a Japanese Beetle, hard to tell, but I dont know of anything else like it and we have an infestation now. One of its legs was embedded into his tongue and it was really hard to pull off. Good grief, what a crazy thing to happen! No idea how it happened because he's too blind to actually hone in on something that tiny to catch it. Maybe it was on some grass he was chewing on, who knows? And I thought chickens found new and ingenious ways to get into trouble, sheesh. Finn wins that one.
Glad you caught that one. Good eye!
Silly Finn ♡♡♡

@speckledhen I've finally finished the Finn thread, it has been a great and sometimes scary read 😅 I've been a cat lover since I was a young child and held my first purring kitty.
I have an orange tabby named Barney, he is 18 yrs old. He has kidney disease and is very thin, but he refuses to give up.
We send love and hugs to Finn 😻

Aw, thanks! Sending my best to Barney as well. He's a well-loved old man, I know.
