I agree the hackles look iffy and the wing pattern a bit suss, but those saddles are roundy roundy

They are not.
You can see the pointed mahogany saddles growing in in the new pics.

This feather is the only one that may be pointed. I can't really tell though because of the grainy image. The rest are rounded.
