Hi, New to BYC. Have been sourcing this site for the past year. I adopted two, two-year old chickens from a friend. Unfortunately this friend is a little less knowledgeable than i thought. They told me that they are red sex links but... i dont think so. Just curious if any of you know what they might be.

The two on the left here.

I don't think that they are red sex links. We have 18 of them and they don't look like ours. How about a full side shot pic showing head and feet.

She really didnt like her picture taken :/

Her feet are kind of a blue-gray. Yellow eyes. Light brown eggs.

Still does not look like a red sex link. Possibly could be a black sex link although the black sex link typically is black with gold hackle feathers. What color are the legs? A couple of our black sex links have gold feathers that cover most of their breast but not over the whole chicken like yours. Your bird also has large bright earlobes which our blacks stars are starting to develop. They will be 19 weeks old tomorrow. It almost looks a bit like an Easter egger but they don't lay brown eggs. Black stars and Red stars do.

They look like mixed breed birds. Mixed enough no specific breed stands out.
