What is so great about Michael Jackson?

Wow this just spells bored and/or trolling.... Apparently a whole huge portion of the entire planet who believes there was musical genious there, irrespective of the personsal life, is just wrong..... If you have to be told what is so great about MJ, it's not even worth it.

His music was pretty good, but you can say the same about many people. I myself don't understand the whole "fan" thing about anyone. I like music, but I don't worship the people who got lucky enough to be blessed by God with talent.

I think MJ was a musical genious gone horrible weird .. in many ways just like Elvis..

So many people that are genious in one area of their life are very lacking in others ..

not my place to judge .. i enjoy both their music.
 
I get the whole Michael Jackson thing. Number one hits over and over and groundbreaking styles he was very popular to the point that I think twelve people have committed suicide since his death because of his death ( I don't get that part)

but I do not get the whole Hanna Montana thing.............

You might as well ask what's so great about the Harry Potter books, why people like Wes Anderson Films, or how come Lost is such a popular show. Because people have different opinions about stuff than you and like his music, that's why. What on earth do you need to know besides that?

I suppose if you want, you can really dig and research and come up with information on what sort of evolutionary thing took place that makes people appreciate music in the first place, and some theories on what sort of genetic make up or cultural backgrounds makes certain groups of people like one type of music over the other. I don't know any of that stuff, though . . . all I know is it's fun to dance to Thriller.
