What is so hard about hatching call ducks??

I want one of your mommas, I stink at it!!!!

Our main problem was I did not want the call eggs to go to waste freezing solid out there so we incubated them.

I have always used an incubator for them. Starting on day 10, I open up the incubator (when I am doing a turning) and let them cool down for 10 minutes a day. I mist them and then close the bator back up. I do the normal hand turning 3 times a day but cooling only once a day.

From what I understand, this helps keep the chicks a little smaller and actually makes them stronger. Since I have used this method, they have hatched out with no problems all by themselves.
